George Orfanos is a senior technology executive with over 17 years experience in planning, management and implementation of complex technology infrastructures for large global financial services organizations. He has managed technology groups of over 150 employees with annual operating budgets of $50+ million and capital budgets of over $20+ million. George possess hands on experience in e-Commerce, Corporate Systems, Data Centers, Disaster Recovery, Call Centers, Global Technology Infrastructures, Communications Systems, Market Data systems, and Outsourced Vendor Managed Services. George has consistently delivered enterprise-wide technology projects within critical timeframes and multi-million dollar budgets. • Managed the expansion of the technology infrastructure for Web/Online-trading, Trading Floor, and Corporate systems (NT/UNIX Server, WAN, LAN, MAN, Disaster Recovery, Security, and Telecommunications/Voice systems) to meet 500% increase in business volume.

• Reviewed and Rationalized 180+ pending technology infrastructure projects prioritizing and defining delivery process and synchronization with business objectives.

• Coordinated with architects, consultants and third party contractors to successfully engineer, build and deliver a new 50,000 square foot Data Center.

• Managed Engineering project teams responsible for delivering migration strategy and requirements to facilitate the move of two data centers housing over 900 servers, and the supporting WAN, LAN, Security, Firewalls, and Load Balancer infrastructures.

• Managed Vendor relationships and contracts, reduced run-rate by an average of 30%, generating $15 million in annual savings with over $4 million in service credits.

• Managed IT regulatory compliance efforts and received a positive rating by FED. Worked closely with Regulatory Agencies (Federal Reserve, SEC, etc), Internal Audit, Compliance, and Legal departments as well as third party auditors and consultants.

• Integrated IT infrastructure components in support of CIBC US expansion and acquisition of the Derivatives Group, High Yield Group, Government Securities, and Oppenheimer organizations. Performed Technology due-diligence reviews prior to acquisition and integrated infrastructure components and IT organization after acquisition.

• Managed engineering teams responsible for a 300 seat Trading Floor expansion and a 300 seat Trading Floor upgrade. Technology infrastructure components included, PBXs, Turrets, LAN, Market Data, Network infrastructure, and network Security architecture.

• Led Global Management team responsible for a Global Outsource, standardization and upgrade of a 14,000-node Global LAN infrastructure, enabling company to deliver network services (NT/UNIX, Databases, Email/File Servers, Market Data, etc) across North America, Europe, and Asia.

• Designed and implemented a branch Network encompassing LAN/WAN solution to over 500 branches and 11,000 desktops. Managed pilot testing, budgeting, scheduling and implementation.
  
  Mr. Orfanos earned a Masters of Science Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a concentration in Computer and Network systems from Polytechnic University of New York.
