Alina E. Viltre Senior Project Manager
Alina Viltre is a senior level
technology consultant specializing in data center design and migration
planning, with responsibility for project analysis, design and implementation,
as well as migration and consolidation planning and overall technical
management.
Ms. Viltre is a dynamic, results-oriented professional
with 18-years of broad-based experience and visible achievements in planning
and directing activities that provide innovative information technology, telecommunications,
and customer service solutions. She has
extensive experience leading people and project teams, implementing and
overseeing technology projects, and administering multimillion-dollar budgets
for some of the largest data centers in the financial industry.
In prior positions, Ms. Viltre has
served as Senior Vice President, Senior Consultant, and Lead Project Manager
for large financial firms and a consulting firm specializing in the design and
implementation of large data center projects. Ms. Viltre is experienced in budget creation and ROI
(Return-on-Investment) analysis, development of data center management and
maintenance solutions, creation of data center policies, procedures, and
programs, and recommendations for operational structure and growth models.
As a project manager, Ms. Viltre is excellent at developing strong working relationships
with key customers, suppliers, vendors, distributors, and other outside services. Her
interpersonal skills and her expertise in data center design and implementation
management have contributed greatly to the success of numerous projects.
Representative major projects include the following:
For the Standard and Poor’s relocation project in downtown Manhattan, Ms.
Viltre was responsible for the development of growth models for the technology
center spaces and related facilities requirements. She also presided over the
on-site construction management of the data center and migration of all systems,
services, and equipment. The S&P project consists of over 980,000
s.f. of usable tenant space. Ms. Viltre was responsible for overseeing all of the
technical aspects of this construction project.
Ms. Viltre developed the data center budget and move strategy for a 40,000 s.f.
data center for the new US Headquarters for Swiss Bank (now UBS-Warburg)
in Stamford, CT. Ms. Viltre was the key developer of a ROI strategy for upgrading
all mainframe and midrange systems. She also developed RFQ and RFP
documents for the trading environment equipment and back-office support
systems.
Prior to constructing two new buildings in Brooklyn, Ms. Viltre consolidated three
major data centers for Chase Manhattan (now JP Morgan Chase). Under Ms. Viltre’s
direction, the 120,000 s.f. data center was relocated to the new facilities. Ms. Viltre
created teams to manage the relocation of more than 7250 employees over an 8-month period
during this 5-year project.
Ms. Viltre participated in project management and design roles in similar data
center and relocation projects, including Nine West, Avon Products, Lewco
Securities, Daiwa Securities America, and Grupo Financiero Serfin.
Recent project engagements include a data center audit for UBS-Warburg with
Constantin Walsh-Lowe, technical advisor to Flack & Kurtz engineers for a power
plant design in Argentina, and a data center outsourcing study for MetLife
Ms. Viltre was project manager for Business Technology Partners, including engagements
for the data center relocation, migration and technology infrastructure for marchFIRST
Ms. Viltre is a graduate of St. Peters College, receiving a
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 1982.
